Title printed in red and black, 6 photogravure plates by Aubrey Beardsley, unbound as issued. (First plate with very light marginal stain.) Original cloth and board portfolio, the upper cover lettered in red and black, ties (label lacking from portfolio, extremities lightly rubbed). NUMBER 16 OF 50 COPIES. Lasner 121: "Beardsley intended to illustrate the entire book, to be published in French in eight monthly parts; the project proved too demanding and expensive and was abandoned in early November 1897."
