Beschreibung:

Bausch & Lomb 7 x 50 "Goldfinger" Binoculars, 1963 With black vulcanite-covered body and brass tripod mount, length 12 ½ in. (29 cm). Provenance: Family of the late Michael White Art Director on "Goldfinger" (1963–64). Accompanying the lot is a signed letter from Mrs. Diana White "with the compliments of Eon Productions Ltd." The 1964 film "Goldfinger" marked Sean Connery's third appearance as British MI6 agent James Bond and has been described as "the peak of the series". This pair of Bausch & Lomb binoculars played its own very special role in the scene where Bond prevents Auric Goldfinger (Gert Fröbe) from winning a rigged game of gin rummy by distracting his assistant Jill Masterson (Shirley Eaton). Masterson uses the binoculars to spy on Goldfinger's opponent from the hotel balcony and then relays the information to her employer by radio. "Goldfinger" was significant for introducing the ingenious gadgets and technology which feature in all later films, leading a Times critic to write: "All the devices are infinitely sophisticated, and so is the film." An iconic piece of Bond film history. Condition: (4/–) Binoculars: James Bond 007 "Goldfinger", 1963 Original-Film-Requisite aus dem legendären James-Bond-Film "Goldfinger". Bausch & Lomb Binoculars 7 x 50, USA. Mit Echtheits-Zertifikat aus dem ehemaligen Besitz des "Art Director" Michael White Spektakuläre Film-Requisite für "Bond"-Liebhaber! Zustand: (4/–)
