Seven issues of this scarce journal produced under the auspices of the Staatliches Bauhaus, the German art school founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar in 1919. The Bauhaus journal was published from 1926 to 1931, its launch coinciding with the opening of the school's new building at Dessau. The modernist text and illustrations in the issues include the work of Gropius, I. Moholy-Nagy, Bayer-Hecht, Hannes Meyer W. Kandinsky, Andreas Feininger and many others.
