Bangladesh.- India.- English School (active 1799 and later) A group of six views of Jashore District and its environs, views include parts of the Bhairab River, local villages and other pastoral scenes, watercolours, traces of pencil, some heightened with white, many inscribed with text verso, initially in pencil and strengthened in brown ink, all inscribed 'Jessore' with indistinct initials, the majority with date '1799', various sizes, between 170 x 215 mm. (6 3/4 x 8 1/2 in), several mounted onto paper support with ruled black ink borders, unframed, 1799 and later; together with three others, possibly by the same hand but depicting English landscapes, unframed (9).
