The papers of the Diaghilev dancer and teacher Stanislas Idzikowski, comprising: (i) Idzikowski's photograph album recording his life and career, comprising photographs (many signed and inscribed to Idzikowski) from his years with the Diaghilev Ballet and afterwards, many studio studies in large-format, one signed on the mount by Man Ray, Paris, the subjects including Nijinsky as the Slave in Sheherazade (signed and inscribed to Idzikowski in Polish, 1917), Igor Stravinsky (signed and inscribed to Idzikowski in Russian, 1921), Serge Diaghilev (signed and inscribed to Idzikowski in Russian, New York 1916), Anna Pavlova in Bacchanal (signed and inscribed to Idzikowski's wife, Evina, 1917), Arthur Rubinstein (signed and inscribed to Idzikowski in Polish, 1916), Maestro Enrico Cecchetti in Carnival, Good Humoured Ladies and in evening dress (all three signed and inscribed to his dear pupil Idzikowski in French, 1915, 1916 and 1918), Mikhail Fokine (signed, 1938), Tamara Karsavina in the Firebird (signed), Leonide Massine as the Slave in Cleopatra and in Union Pacific (both signed), Lubov Tcharnichea in Thamas (signed), Lydia Popokova [Keynes] (two photographs signed, 1916 and 1918), Alicia Markova in the Children's Tales (signed, 1919), Alexandra Danilova (two photographs, one of her in The Three Cornered Hat, both signed, 1926 and 1927), Woijikowski in Massine's Midnight Sun (signed, 1919), Vera Savina Massine (several, one signed), Lydia Sokolova (two, one in Carnival inscribed to "To my little 'Harlequin'", 1926, one signed "Hilda"), Maria d'Albacin (signed), Lubov Tchernicheva (signed, 1937), Ursula Moreton (signed), Irina Baronova in Swan Lake (signed), Adeline Genée in Camargo (signed), Michael Mordkin (two, signed), Harold Turner (signed), Tamara Idzikowski in Nijinsky's costume for the Princesse Enchantée, Vanda Evina Idzikowski (several), Idzikowski with Tamara Karsavina in Spectre de la Rose, Idzikowski standing with Sir Malcolm Sargeant, Ludmila Shollar, Idzikowski as Harlequin in The Three Cornered Hat, Slavinsky in Karsavina, the company in the open air performing Sylphides with Nemchinova and Nijinska and Ansermet conducting, Idzikowski with Margot Fonteyn and others, captioned in punchtape by Idzikowski ('Photographs of Great Masters/ Serge de Diaghilev Russian Ballet/ Cover Made by Stanislas Idzikowski'), bound in pigskin embossed by Idzikowski himself with his bust in white upon red, stout 4to (ii) File of Idzikowski's correspondence, including autograph and typed letters to him by Serge Diaghilev, Margot Fonteyn (series: "I wonder whether you would accept to be one of the first two Fellows of the Royal Academy of Dancing. Diaghilev has told me of your very kind promise to appear at the great charity concert on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3rd with Mlle.
