Being an account of a journey in the years 1861 and 1862 from Walvisch Bay, on the western coast, to Lake Ngami and the Victoria Falls. London: Longman, Green, et al, 1864. 8vo (203 x 137 mm). Baines first travelled in Africa 1845 and from 1847-51 was artist to the British army expedition to the Cape. In 1855 he was appointed artist to the British expedition to N. W. Australia and returned to Africa in 1857 to joint Livingstone's note entirely successful Zambezi expedition.
