Bague «Porte-Bonheur». Cette belle bague a appartenu à Mr Sidney Bechet. Elle est ornée d'une émeraude gravée en relief, représentant le portrait de Vénus. Cette pierre fut offerte par une de ses fans (de l'aristocratie française). Sidney Bechet fit réaliser la monture, en or jaune 18 k et platine 950 millièmes, par une grande maison de la place Vendôme dans les années 1950. L'émeraude gravée est disposée dans une torsade de fils d'or. Le pourtour du corps de bague est composé d'une alternance de diamants baguettes et d'émeraudes rectangulaires, agrémenté par deux brillants plus importants. L'ensemble du corps de bague est composé d'une multitude de fils d'or torsadés. Selon le récit familial, Sidney Bechet en voyageant dans un train «Pullman», pour se rendre à un concert, s'est coincé la main dans la porte. Il portait cette bague. Elle lui sauva l'usage de son doigt. (On remarque sur l'émeraude: ébréchures et givres). Tour de doigt: 65. Poids brut: 28 g. Fine ring belonged to Mr. Sidney Bechet. Sidney Bechet had the fixation done by one of the main house of the place Vendôme in the 1950s, in 18k yellow gold and platinum 950°/°°. The engraved emerald is disposed in a torsade of gold wires. The rim of the ring's mounting is composed of an alternance of baguette diamonds and rectangular emeralds, enhanced with two more important brilliants. The entire ring's mounting is formed by a multitude of gold torsaded wires. According to the familial narrative, while Sidney Bechet was travelling in the "Pullman" train to go to a concert, he stuck his hand in a door while wearing this ring. It saved the use of his finger.
