Three autograph letters signed, [14 December 1875 - 29 November 1876], asking for an address, complaining that 'the work here is so enormous preparing for the opening', and sending a reminder that an organist is needed in the following day's rehearsal -- 'The Organ is wanted for my Overture in the "Light of the World"', together 3 pages, 8vo ; and letters by Hans von Bülow (letter and card), Sir Michael Costa, Alexandre Guilmant, Charles Hallé (4), George Henschel, Joseph Joachim (three, 1893-5), William Thomson Lord Kelvin, Nellie Melba (giving her desired programme), C. Hubert Parry (2), Hans Richter Camille Saint-Saëns, Charles Villiers Stanford (3) and others.
