Gladstone, Walter Bagehot, John Bright, Dr William Ellery Channing (4), Joseph Blanco White (18), George Grote, William Tait (3), Giuseppe Mazzini (2), Anne Isabelle, Lady Byron (2) and others, 1831-1918, approximately 140 letters in total , with 40 envelopes or covers, and 5 photographs.

The correspondence is drawn upon in Robert Henderson, A memoir of the late Rev. George Armstrong, formerly incumbent of Bangor in the diocese of Down, and latterly one of the ministers of Lewin's-Mead Chapel, Bristol (London: Whitfield, 1859).
