Grant, Schuyler Colfax, Hamilton Fish, George Robeson Frederick Douglass, most of the foreign ambassadors, Charles Sumner, all United States Senators and Congressmen from 1871, William Tecumseh Sherman, Admiral Daniel Porter Hannibal Hamlin, the Chief Justice and Assistant Justices of the Supreme Court, numerous Admirals and Generals of the American military, tipt in signatures of Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan Edwin Stanton, Winfield Scott, Gideon Welles, Salmon Chase, and William Seward, (few leaves loose, covers worn). Note: This album was a gift from the Honorable William A. Richardson, Secretary of Treasury, to Amelia McIntire, wife of the Honorable Charles J. McIntire.
