Thirteen other plates with smaller tears; nearly all of the defects with old repairs. First volume with some abrasion and thin spots (removal of stamp?) affecting plates 2, 15, 19, 20, 25 and 66 (plates 19 and 66 each with a small hole). Slight and very occasional foxing. Lacks title to vol. 3, title of vol. 1 with 8-inch repaired tear, vol. 3 contents leaf severely creased. Lacks text volumes. FIRST EDITION. 150 finely colored lithographed plates after John James and John Woodhouse Audubon the backgrounds after Victor Audubon, by J.T.
