Condition: small loss l.l., with varied residue on reverse. Note: The Navy Yard at Norfolk, in Portsmouth, Virginia is the US Navy's oldest shipyard. It is the home of the first dry-dock in the Western Hemisphere and is where the USS Chesapeake, the Constitution's sister ship and one of the first six ships built for the Navy after the Revolution, was built from 1794-99.
