This broadside was one of two issued by Five Points boss Isaiah Rynders on the night of the riot after the crowd had been dispersed with 22 men left dead. The other broadside called for a mass meeting to be held to “express public opinion upon the lamentable occurrence of last night.” See Cliff, The Shakespeare Riots , p 234.
