"Rare and decorative map" (Sweet) with 4 decorative borders in its second and last state. "The map is not a faithful copy of the fourth state of the Kaerius/Visscher map... This second state is characterized by the addition of Walton's advertisement in the upper right corner... and show traces of being folded to a folio format. They are found inserted in the 1660-62 edition of Heylin's Cosmograhia" (Sch.); as our copy. Including the fine engraved views of "Aden, Ierusalem, Goa, Macao, Rodus, Arosbay, Calicut, Ormus, Bantan (&) Gammalamma" . - Uncol. Overall browning and some spotting in places. Small repaired holes and tears to old folds.
