Date: Early 20th century Description: Wonderful pair of Art Deco era bookends featuring a male figure in period golfing attire, at the end of his swing, club over his left shoulder and behind his back. The figure stands on a closed book, with a second book perched on edge forming a corner. The golfer has a polished silver finish, the books a more subdued tone. Each approximately 9¾" tall x 4½" deep x 5" wide. Quite scarce, especially with this silver finish. Marked J.B. 2869 on the base. Lot Amendments Condition: Some light wear to finish, bottom felts lacking; very good. Item number: 278933
