Armstrong Siddeley Viper. A small archive of manuscript notes, folders of blueprints and technical drawings and notes, plus printed booklets relating to the Viper Turbojet engine, circa early 1950s, originally belonging to Rosemary Leigh, including folders on Double Mamba, flight section and reference curves, calculations relating to static pressure with Mach number, a mimeographed booklet titled ‘The Problem of Control of Propeller Turbine Engines’ and related Turbojet ephemera. The Viper was developed and produced by Armstrong Siddeley and then its successor companies Bristol Siddeley and Rolls-Royce Ltd. It entered service in 1953 and remained in use with the Royal Air Force until January 2011. . (a large folder)
