These two works show two versions of the famous Ariosto portrait, based on an original by Titian. Ariosto's comedies were first played at the court of Ferrara. ARIOSTO, Lodovico. Scolastica . Florence: Bernardo Giunti, 1546. 4° (213 x 147mm). Italic type, double column. Printer's device on title and final verso.
