Archive of Correspondence With 21 Beat Literature Luminaries and Associates, 1991-2003 Author: Place: Various places Publisher: Date: 1991-2003 Description: A unique archive of signed letters, notes, postcards, broadsides and associated ephemera from twenty-one poets, authors and artists of the Beat Movement. Various types of personal stationary, note cards and headers, most included with original mailing envelopes, primarily addressed to Darrin Daniels, editor of Cityful Press. Also included are a handful of ephemera pieces relating to various Beat shows and readings. Includes a handwritten postcard from from Allen Ginsberg, and items from Robert Creeley, Diane di Prima, Anne Waldman, Keith Abbot, Gerald Malanga and numerous others. Cityful Press began in Eugene, Oregon in 1991 and initiated publication with Spike Magazine, a literary magazine which published poetry and prose and featured artists such as Allen Ginsberg, Joanne Kyger Eleni Sikelianos, Jack Hirschman, and Robert Hunter among others.
