Large archive of material related to Crimean and Russian archaeology including: 1. 43 silver print photographs, approximately 220 x 330 to 238 x 185 mm, circa 1920-30s, likely by Eugene A. Golomshtok, mounted on cardstock, some labeled on verso, being images of various Crimean locations as well as an archaeological excavation, generally excellent condition. 2. Large collection of glass slides mainly depicting Western European and Russian artifacts, generally very good. Archive also includes a number of negatives; numerous archaeological extracts and journals, Soviet, American and British, related to Western Europe, Russia, Russian America, Arctic regions, etc.; hand-written lecture notes with reference to slide numbers; 4 drawings of artifacts; printed dissertation: Golomshtok, Eugene A. The Old Stone Age in European Russia. Philadelphia: 1938; and several small metal and clay artifacts. An interesting and extensive group that should be seen. Provenance: ownership inscription of Eugene A. Golomshtok to some journals. See illustration.
