18th to 19th century Comprising three sheets by Hiroshige I, one of Sanshu Marugama from the series Nihon Minato zukushi and a chu-tanzaku entitled Natsu Ryogoku no Tsuki from the series Shiki Edo Meisho, the third of Awazu Seiran from the series Omi Hakkei; two sheets entitled Osaka Shinmachi Nerimono by Yanagawa Shigenobu; two sumo-e from triptychs and a bijin-ga by Kunisada I, as well as two sheets of `Hara and Yoshiwara' and `Maisaka' from the series so-called Yakusha Tokaido; a sheet from a triptych by Shuncho, two sheets by Kunisada II from the series Hakkenden Inu no Soushi no uchi; an unsigned centre sheet of a triptych depicting a courtesan attributed to Kunisada I; a sheet titled Yakusha Ogi Awase enclosing the actor Nakamura Utaemon within a fan-shaped panel by Toyokuni I and the centre sheet of a bijin-ga; a sheet from the series Seiro Niwaka by Hidemaro; a middle sheet from a complete triptych by Shiko, variously published and signed; a middle sheet of bijin disembarking from a yakatabune by Utamaro II and three fascimile sheets after Shunsho and Shunko. Oban each sheet approx. 36cm x 24½cm (14 1/8in x 9 5/8in); the chu-tanzaku 37cm x 12.1cm (14½in x 4¾in). (22).
