AN UNUSUAL SMALL SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY EWER TANG DYNASTY (618-907) The ovoid body raised on a spreading foot with slightly concave flat base, and applied on each side with a large stylized flower-head medallion, with a double bow-string band at the base of the shoulder interrupted by the base of the double-strap handle applied with flat bosses and a small foliate boss just above the edge of the pinched spout, covered with a straw glaze splashed in green and dark olive-amber 8¼ in. (21 cm.) high
