AN UNUSUAL QINGBAI 'CHRYSANTHEMUM' DISH SOUTHERN SONG-YUAN DYNASTY (1127-1368) The shallow dish has widely flared sides that rise to the shallow, scalloped sides, and is incised in the center with a flower sprig within a double circle, and relief-decorated with lotus flowers amidst scrolls on the everted rim with scalloped edge. The dish is covered overall with a pale aqua-blue glaze that pools in the recesses and stops neatly at the unglazed base. 7 ½ in. (19 cm.) diam., Japanese wood box
