Khaan mckennai Late Cretaceous - 76 to 80 Million Years Old Djadochta Formation Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia Khaan was a large oviraptor that fed on smaller vertebrates such as mammals, lizards and smaller dinosaurs. It had an parrot-like chitinous beak instead of teeth, so it would probably just grab and swallow its prey, although larger prey may have needed to be carved-up by the sharp beak before swallowing. Khaan is closely related to the well-known specimens of mother Oviraptor dinosaurs perched on circular nests of elongated eggs, of which there are several outstanding specimens known. This specimen represents a nearly perfect, complete left leg of Khaan. Heights measures 21in
