AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED SEVRES STYLE 'JEWELLED' COBALT-BLUE GROUND THREE-PIECE CLOCK GARNITURE LATE 19TH CENTURY The clock of scrolled double-bracket form, surmounted with an urn-shaped vase and cover with berry finial, lion-mask terminals and heart-shaped loop handles, painted with a putto on a bed on roses frolicking among clouds, within a 'jewelled' shaped-oval cartouche, the shaped-rectangular enamelled clock-face with Roman numerals, painted with Cupid firing an arrow, a maiden and putto below, flanked by berried laurel garlands, gilt and 'jewelled' with stylised flowerheads and a trumpet-shaped flowerhead supporting a selection of musicl instruments to each side, above 'jewelled' panels of flowerheads amd leafy scrolls, on eight feet, four of which moulded with acanthus and berries, and two tapering square-section candelabra applied with ormolu ram's head terminals suspending tasselled swags, with four leaf-molded nozzles and scones and a fifth adapted for electricity, on rectangular leaf-molded supports with scrolled bracket feet The clock 20¼ in.
