An Italian Falchion Circa 1600, probably Venetian With curved single-edged blade double-edged towards the clipped point and with ricasso stamped 'Caino' on each face, the back bordered on each face by two fullers each stamped 'F Tomas' thrice, iron hilt comprising slender vertically recurved quillons, the front one forming a knuckle-guard, small upturned scallop-shaped shell, heart-shaped beaked pommel, and original wire-bound wooden grip (wire incomplete) 26in.
