AN IRISH SATINWOOD AND ROSEWOOD CROSSBANDED CELLARET By Michael Butler of Dublin, late 19th/early 20th century The sarcophagus shaped hinged lid with line and chequer inlaid decoration enclosing a green silk lined interior, below a similarly decorated front on square tapering legs, the underside of the lid stamped 'M.BUTLER/DUBLIN' and further stamped 'M. BUTLER' to the left of the lockplate, bearing a paper label to the underside 'M.BUTLER, LTD., COLLECTOR AND RESTORER OF 'CHIPPENDALE', 'ADAMS' AND 'SHERATON' FURNITURE, ETC., ROYAL ANTIQUE FURNITURE GALLERIES 25,126,127,128 UPPER ABBEY STREET, DUBLIN' 25½ in.
