AN INSCRIBED RECTANGULAR DUAN INK STONE DATED KANGXI CYCLICAL GUISI YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO 1713 AND OF THE PERIOD The ink stone is smoothly polished with a recessed inkwell below a grinding surface incised with a coin motif, a character, and a seal. The reverse is carved with a second griding surface below a concave inkwell. One side is incised with an inscription signed Wang Shu (1688-1743) and dated to 1713, the opposite side is incised with a five-character inscription, Shiyizhai zhengcang , ‘Collection of Shiyizhai ’, followed by two seals.
