The bracket stand is incised with a partially legible inscription reading ‘On the eighth day fourth month seventh year of Kaihuang (AD 587), Lu Yuangui’s wife Dong Yuanzhao, also known as Zhongqi, commissioned this Guanyin figure.’ 5 7/8 in.
