AN IMPRESSIVE SUITE OF SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND JEWELLERY
AN IMPRESSIVE SUITE OF SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND JEWELLERY Comprising a necklace, designed as a series of thirty-seven graduated oval and cushion-shaped sapphires ranging from 11.48 to 0.89 carats, interspersed by oval and pear-shaped diamonds; and a pair similarly-set ear pendants each set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 9.19 and 8.06 carats en suite, mounted in platinum, necklace 42.0 cm and ear pendants 3.6 cm long Accompanied by report no. CS 42678 dated 26 August 2010 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that based on available gemological information, it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the thirty-seven sapphires weighing 133.62 carats are natural, the origin of this material would be classified as a combination of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and Madagascar, enhancement: heated, clarity enhancement: none Report no. CS 42679 A and B dated 26 August 2010 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that based on available gemological information, it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the sapphires weighing 9.19 and 8.06 carats are natural, the origin of this material would be classified as Ceylon (Sri Lanka), enhancement: heated, clarity enhancement: none Also accompanied by a letter and jewel folio from American Gemological Laboratories stating that the sapphires in this necklace and earrings set are deserving of special merit for the assembly of quality factors that these thirty-nine gems possess as a collective whole. Most importantly is the very fine and well-matched colour exhibited by these gems. Heated sapphires of this specific colour are uncommon and therefore it is very difficult to bring together such a well-matched and graduated collection. In addition, each of these sapphires combines a high clarity and well-proportioned cut that results in vibrant, richly saturated internal colour reflections Accompanied by twenty-eight reports for the necklace from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the pear and oval-shaped diamonds weighing from 0.39 to 1.87 carats range from D to F colour, internally flawless to VS2 clarity Also accompanied by four reports for the ear pendants from the Gemological Institute of America with the following details: Report Date Weight Colour Clarity Cut 13658113 02/09/04 1.08 E VS1 Oval 13657698 14/09/04 1.00 E VS1 Oval 2101440797 04/12/08 0.83 D VS2 Pear 6107941825 24/07/09 0.74 E VVS2 Pear The total weight of the sapphires on necklace is 133.62 carats and for diamonds is 32.67 carats (3)
