AN IMPORTANT SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING
AN IMPORTANT SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING Set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 22.50 carats, flanked by a cushion-shaped diamond weighing approximately 3.35 carats and an old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 3.32 carats, mounted in platinum, ring size 5½ Accompanied by a premium report no. 69570 dated 26 August 2013 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the 22.50 carat sapphire is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the sapphire possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The sapphire exhibits a remarkable size, combined with a fine purity and an attractive well saturated blue colour. Microscopic examination are consistent with those found in sapphires from the classical mines in Burma (Myanmar). Its saturated blue colour is due to a combination of well-balanced trace elements in the gemstone, typical and characteristics for the finest sapphires of Mogok, Burma. This sapphire has been spared exposure to heat treatment and its clarity and colour are thus all natural. A natural sapphire from Burma of this size and quality is rare and exceptional Also accompanied by report no. 13105027 dated 21 October 2013 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 22.50 carat sapphire is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating and this colour variety may also called "royal blue" in the trade Report no. 1142729190 dated 25 September 2013 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 3.35 carat diamond is F colour, VS2 clarity Report no. 1152455647 dated 25 September 2013 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 3.32 carat diamond is F colour, VS2 clarity, with excellent polish
