An extraordinary pair of large square decanters and stoppers, each with square cut decoration and engraved with the arms, crest and motto of the Harvey family, 32cm high (4) Provenance: Rushbrooke Hall, Bury St Edmunds. The Harvey/Hervey family of Bargy Castle, Co. Wexford, originally of Bosworth, Leics., owned the Rushbrooke Hall in the 19th century. In 1612, Sir William Harvey (ancestor of the 1st Marquess of Bristol who owned the house in the 19th century) married the daughter of Sir Robert Jermyn of Rushbrooke.
