AN EXTENSIVE GENERALS OF THE CIVIL WAR PHOTO ALBUM WITH AUTOGRAPHS, CIRCA 1864. The hand tooled and embossed gilt leather covered album with gilt bronze closures embossed with union shields bound with 24 pasteboard and gilt edged leafs with die-cut windows containing 87 Carte-de-viste portraits of Union Generals, Admirals, Commodores, and a Captain, 55 of which include signature cuts mounted with the portraits. Of the 87 carte-de-vistes, 30 are published by Anthony, 10 by Taber, and one by Brady. The Album title page printed “The Mason Auto Photographic Album, Samuel Bowels & Co., Springfield Mass., 1862, and with an index page inscribed with 84 names contained within. 7.125 inches x 10 inches.
