An exceptional Drinks Cabinet, late 19th century, of box form, the rosewood meticulously inlaid in mother-of-pearl with a profusion of butterflies, flowers, tendrils, birds, bats, tree rats and fish, the lid with the initials 'J.D.', the apron well carved with scrolling clouds, with key , 34.5cm wide 25.5cm deep 30cm high Quite how the very fine lines of mother-of-pearl were achieved is not known. Very many examples are missing sections, but this particular example is almost pristine.
