An Exceptional Collection of L.A. Huffman Cabinet Cards and Other Images,

lot of 21. Includes 12 silver gelatin images mounted as cabinet cards with Huffman, Miles, Mont. blind stamp, all showing cowboys at work with inked titles on reverse. Great group including branding cattle, breaking wild horses, cattle drives and more, PLUS eight 3.7" x 4.5" albumen printing-out paper images of cowboys, probably removed from album pages. Images include horse round-up, cattle branding and roping and more, AND 3.75" x 4.5" on embossed 5.25" x 6.25" card stock of group of cowboys preparing to saddle up in front of bunk house (see Before Barbed Wire pages 99 and 152). A fine, and scarcely encountered, group of early Huffmans. Provenance: The Dave Delling Collection of Western Americana, Condition: All VG, one cabinet card with missing corner of card only.
