Two stage barrel, octagon to smooth, which twists at breech to load. Wooden forearm with key and ring, under barrel magazine. Fold down trigger and slide on safety. Right side plate signed "Bouillet A Paris Invenit". Braised repairs on top of frame. Air reservoir with contemporary leather wrapping and stock for lug. Accompanied by a contemporary case with some printed literature on this pistol, a container of lead balls, and several of the original rusted parts. CONDITION: Good as partially rebuilt. Replaced parts include forearm, magazine, one sideplate, and some internal parts. Balance of gun cleaned over pitting. Leather cover on reservoir is contemporary. Bore is surprisingly smooth but with smooth oxidation throughout. Action is rough and needs considerable attention. Accessories are fine as contemporary. This pistol is known amongst the collecting fraternity after it was discovered on a river bank a number of years ago before it was extensively restored.
