AN ELIZABETH I SILVER TAZZA LONDON, 1571, MAKER'S MARK INDISTINCT On plain domed foot stamped with an egg-and-dart border, the baluster stem with strapwork framing a central laurel wreath, the shallow bowl engraved with two bands of foliate strapwork and embossed in centre with a helmeted male bust, engraved on the outside with inscription 'Non domun Sed donatorem' and merchant's mark with date 1621, marked on bowl and under foot 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high 12 oz. 2 dwt. (377 gr.) Provenance George Weare Braikenridge (1775-1856), Broomwell House, Brislington, near Bristol, by descent to his son, The Rev.
