AN ELEGANT DIAMOND AND RUBY NECKLACE Suspending a pear-shaped diamond weighing 17.97 carats, spaced by a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 3.03 carats, enhanced by brilliant-cut pink and colourless diamonds, joined to the length adjustable diamond collet neckchain, mounted in 18k white and rose gold, 40.5 to 43.0 cm long Accompanied by report no. 16886777 dated 27 March 2008 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 17.97 carat diamond is D colour, flawless clarity, with excellent polish and symmetry Also accompanied by note no. 0809633 dated 16 September 2008 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that diamonds are classified into two fundamental groups and this 17.97 carat diamond is classified as a type IIa which are chemically very pure and do not reveal infrared absorption characteristics related to nitrogen Report no. 0710505 dated 26 September 2007 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 3.03 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating, and this colour variety may also be called "pigeon's blood red" in the trade
