In the form of a lion-headed aegis, wearing a sun disc and broad collar, above uraei and a rosette, with a suspension loop behind, 38mm.; including one white glazed steatite, with the head of Bes on one side, the underside carved with Bes flanked by cartouches of Tuthmosis III, with a crocodile below and a winged sun disc above, late New Kingdom, 1in. (2.5cm.); and a blue glazed steatite bust of Bes pierced through the feather headdress, Late Period, 11/8in.
