AN EARLY GEORGE III MAHOGANY COMMODE CIRCA 1760, attributed to William Vile and John Cobb With a serpentine top, two short and two long drawers mounted with foliate ormolu handles and strapwork and mask lockplates, the lower edge with shaped lambrequin border, the angles mounted with foliate plaques headed by espagnolette masks reaching to foliate sabots, inscribed on the back 'Wotton' or 'Wolton' in a late 18th or early 19th Century hand 35 in. (89 cm.) high; 47 in. (120 cm.) wide; 23½ in. (60 cm.) deep
