An early 20thC japanned display cabinet An early 20thC japanned display cabinet, decorated overall in crazed gilt and polychrome enamels with figures within oriental landscapes, etc., on a black ground, the central glaze and panelled door flanked by bowed sections on cabriole legs, with ball and claw feet, 132cm wide. Upon initial inspection the well proportioned piece there are two sections to the top to the front which have been crudely replaced, there are other losses to the gilt work and discolouration all round, there are marks, wear, surface scratches and losses, the panels of glass appear to be original to the piece. There are other sections of wear, a little bit tired to the top. The top has modern screws, is of no great age, perhaps a replacement, there is a split to the top, other general wear. marks, discolouration, etc. consistent with age.
