An early 20thC African tribal hardwood head An early 20thC African tribal hardwood head, heavily carved, formed as a lady, probably in tiger wood, with elaborate hair, unmarked, 31cm high. Upon initial inspection, we are unable to determine the weight. It is certainly early 20thC. Splice mark to the underside. Other marks, wear, surface scratches, discolouration, loss to the front to include split and other losses to hair approx 3cm in one area, 2cm in an other.
