An early 20th century .177 Lincoln Jeffries Junior 1921 patent air pistol, fixed barrel, stamped '43' to frame, rotating breech lever catch and backstrap cocking lever, pellet seating pin, signed to lever with patent numbers, 24cm long. * Note - Though outwardly similar to the later 'Lincoln' air pistol this version is significantly different in the use of its back lever cocking action. A patent for 'Improvements in Spring Air Pistols' dated April 1911 shows a similar version with the back lever action. A later patent of 1922 'Improvements in Air Pistols and Guns' shows the pivoting locking arm of this model. The variations of the breech locking mechanism is classified in John Griffith's 'The Encyclopaedia of Spring Air Pistols' with this model as a 'Type C'.
