(Fine European Works of Art & Clocks, 29th September 2020) AN EALRY 19TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE MOUNTED WALNUT BIEDERMEIER MANTEL CLOCK AN EALRY 19TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE MOUNTED WALNUT BIEDERMEIER MANTEL CLOCK circa 1820, probably Austrian, the case of square form with a concave top surmounted with turned white marble and scrolling gilt bronze finial, supported by a semi-circular support studded with roundels and pierced decoration on a rectangular plinth base with four marble bun feet, the gilt engine turned dial with a white enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, the centre with a subsidiary white enamel date dial (hand lacking) with the triple train movement striking the full and quarter hours on a gong, a pull repeater striking on a second gong (pull lacking), pendulum with silk suspension, with pendulum and an associated key, 46cm high, 28cm wide (Qty: 1) 46cm high, 28cm wide
