Title: An assortment of nine pairs and one singular bookend. Author: ** Place: N.p. Publisher: Date: [20th Cent] Description: Includes: Polychrome painted cast metal figurine bookends of a man on a camel. 6" tall with 2x5" half-circle base. * Metal figurine bookends of a British or early American man standing with hand on one hip, resting the other arm on a pillar. Felt at bottom. 7¾" tall with 3x3½" semi-circle base. * Sculptural bookends of an Amish man and wife, each seated on a bench with their hands in their lap. Polychrome painted metal. 5" tall with 2½x3¼" semi-circle base. Back of man's leg is carved the number 650. * Right-angle polychrome metal bookends with relief image of man and woman praying with church in the background. Felt on bottom. 4¾" tall with 2¼x4½" base. * Gold colored metal image of man and woman seated outdoors with a picnic basket and a windmill in the background, mounted to a dense black metal base. Felt on bottom. 5½" tall with 1¾x5¼" base. * Painted black metal figurine of a pirate, with sword and treasure chest, mounted to a right-angle base. Some chipping to paint. 5¼" tall with 3¼x4" base. * Single gold painted metal bookend (w/o its pair) of an Art Deco style Eve, amongst the garden of Eden surrounded by two baby deer. She reaches down to pet one. Felt on bottom and signed on the back, "COPR 1930 C. CO." 5½" tall with 2x4¾" base. * Pair of metal elephant bookends. Back of each is a faint label number 3202. 4" tall with 2x4½" base. * Pair of lightweight metal bookends. Features gold painted pair of ducks in mid flight over a bunch of cattail plants mounted to a silver back. Metal label on back reads Metzel 1980. Each missing one screw, so mount is a bit loose. 5½" tall with 6x4¾" base (modern base with protruding tongue). * Pair of bronze colored metal right-angle bookends with the inscribed image of the Christian Science Building. Bottom reads as such, then "New York World's Fair, 1939." 4" tall with 2x5" base. Lot Amendments Condition: All show signs of wear, some chipping, rubbing to paint; good or better.
