An antique pine trunk, painted and lacquered with chinoiserie style decoration, W.4ft Estimate £200-300 Overall a fair amount of wear to all of the paint work on this trunk with some blooming of the varnish and loss of the decorative work, top has two old splits running from left to right along with various surface dents, front equally worn as are the sides, where the decoration is lifting it is showing to be cut paper applied to the pine backing, back of the trunk is plain black, interior is lined in green baize, lock is loose but remains in the piece with a key, overall an interesting decorative item but with a fair amount of wear which is best kept stabilised rather than trying to fully restore it.
