An antique half pearl and diamond set panel set ring, the 19th century shaped oval panel centred with a collet set old brilliant-cut diamond within a cluster surround of slightly graduated half pearls, to a border of small rose-cut diamonds, mounted in yellow gold, to a later shank (split) with trifurcated shoulders, principal diamond approximately 0.35 carats, ring size N. £1200-1500 Condition Report The principal diamond is a slightly cushion-shaped old-cut stone, the colour is probably a drawing a little yellow tone but the clarity looks average-reasonable (impossible to assess accurately due to closed back setting). The half pearls have an average silky lustre, well matched in colour, and show light wear only. The rose-cut diamonds are all present and correct. The panel has been later mounted on a new back and shank. The shank is split to the back. Panel measures 18.5 x 16mm.
