An album of over 50 photographs of the Pahlavi family, including both Reza Shah and Mohammed Reza Shah's coronations and family photographs, most original Press photographs, some original photographs also included [various places, from 1926-1970] single album with 51 loose photographs mounted with corner-pockets, majority black and white or sepia, a few printed in colour, most with original copyright stamps and press announcements on the the reverse, a few original photographs, varying sized from 200 by 255 mm. to 130 by 180 mm.; housed in black leather album with gilt Pahlavi mount on upper cover Some highlights here include:(i) “Dr Seyyed Gholame Imammi, Immame Jomeh, together with H.I.M. Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi”, inscription to verso in Farsi, c. 1948; (ii) “A Prince of a fellow likes his sis - Prince Reza, 3, son of the Shah of Iran, kisses his baby sister, Princess Farahnaz, who is held by their mother Queen Farah. They and the Shah were on an outing at a resort on the Caspian Sea near Tehran”, 5 July 1963; (iii) “Huge Persian carpets covering a triumphal arch near Tehran airport as a welcome home for Shah of Iran as he returned to his country from short exile in Italy”, dated 27 August 1953; (iv) “New Shah of Persia seated on his throne. An exclusive photograph o[f] the new Shah of Persia, Reza Khan, former private, soldier, seated on the wonderful Nadir Throne in his palace and wearing the crown specially made for his coronation. In his right hand he is holding the new flag which he has adopted”, dated 1926; (v) “Queen Farah of Iran holding her baby son, Prince Reza Koorosh Ali, 3 months, for official portrait in Palace in Tehran. Prince Reza is heir to the Shah's throne”, dated 18 March 1961; (vi) “Royal Pilot - Iranian Princess Fatima prepares to depart on her first solo helicopter flight, taking off from Tehran airport. When she earns her license she will be Iran's first helicopter pilot”, dated 30 August 1969; (vii) The ex-Empress Soraya in Hollywood ... meeting Laurence Harvey”, dated 5th November 1960.
