Note: Charlotte Ann Robbins was born on June 19, 1840, in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of John Robbins (b. August 3, 1811, in Lexington, Massachusetts) and Susan Allen Simonds (b. April 1, 1819, in Hillsboro, New Hampshire). Charlotte married Joseph J. Knox (b. 1839 in New Hampshire) on September 1, 1862. The 1880 United States census lists the family living in Woburn, Massachusetts, and Joseph's occupation as a carpenter. They had a child, Lottie Lillian, b. November 8, 1862.
