The consignor has independently obtained a letter of authenticity from PSA that will accompany the lot. A sheet of uncut Revolutionary War lottery tickets, an unusual survival in original condition. In 1781, the bridge that spanned Connecticut's Framington River was swept away by a freshet. A lottery was organized to help fund the building of a new bridge, and though the tickets were issued, the drawing was never actually held.
