Beschreibung:

CGC certified: F/VF (7.0). White pages. Not cleaned and pressed. Cover: John Romita pencils and inks. Story: Stan Lee and Gil Kane Gil Kane pencils, inks by Frank Giacoia, backgrounds by Tony Mortellaro. Lettering: Artie Simek. GPAnalysis: A 7.0 sold for $139 in 5/22. Ditko's moral absolutism left him unsympathetic to criminals, and it's a cinch that he'd never have portrayed Spidey as a conflicted bleeding heart who first chucks crooks in the clink and then kvetches about their crappy living conditions. But while Ditko was off drawing Mr. A adventures in which the hero lets criminals fall to their deaths ("I have no mercy or compassion for aggressors!"), Stan's got Spidey appearing on the Tonight Show to advocate for prison reform: "Now that I've a CAPTIVE AUDIENCE, I wanna talk about some OTHER captives — I mean the PRISONERS who are locked up in our understaffed, over-age, over-crowded JAILS!" Enjoying the Spidey Sale? Order a fully-illustrated softcover catalogue for 30 bucks. Only about 100 copies were printed and they're going fast.
